My Favourite Apps For Instagram & Blogging

So it’s no secret that having a cohesive looking ‘theme’ on Instagram takes time and a lot of effort. The same goes for a blog! I like to have a general theme on my Instagram, bright clean-looking photos – but I don’t stress too much over it. I have a few apps that help me keep my Instagram active, as well as make my blog run a lot smoother. These apps aren’t a secret at all, but so many people who put effort into Instagram, photography or blogging don’t know about them when I mention what I use. If you are into having a theme on Instagram then definitely download these apps! Enjoy x

Cluster

Cluster is an app that I mostly use to get high-definition photos from my computer to my phone, and vice versa. You have an account that you can access via your browser, and an app on your phone. Basically, you upload images via either channel, and download them on the other end. It’s so much easier than trying to email lots of large files especially seeing as airdrop doesn’t always work for me.

Snug

Snug is a little gem of an app. It costs around $2, which is nothing to me considering Instagram isΒ a large part of promoting my blog. The app accesses your Instagram feed and looks exactly the same as how you’d see it in the actual Instagram app. You can upload images and move them around to kind of ‘plan’ your feed. This helped me so much during the Summer when I was working with a brand over a long period, and had to plan in my images amongst my other photos to make sure they looked good and were edited well.

Lightroom

Lightroom is essentially Photoshop for your iPhone. The editing is slightly more technical than other apps which is great for a photo that needs a bit more love. You can also sync the app to Photoshop on your computer, which is another great way to share photos across devices.

VSCO

VSCO is kinda like the clichΓ© Instagrammer app. I only just really got to know the ins and outs of it and now it’s one of my most valuable apps for a matching Instagram theme. You can edit a photo, and then copy the edits and apply them straight to multiple other photos. This obviously means that when you upload these photos to your Instagram feed, they all have the same theme and look really cool. On the VSCO feed you can also flick between edited and unedited photos so you don’t lose track of which photos are ready to use. You can also change the layout of the feed to look like your Instagram feed in case you want to see your edited photos all together.

My own website app!

This one is probably just reserved for people with blogs, BUT! It’s so helpful to see how my blog looks after I upload any new content via mobile, without having to google search my blog every time. The way you can do this is go onto Safari, search up your blog – or any website you want to have quick access to, click the little box with and arrow coming out of it at the bottom and select ‘add to homepage’. And there it is, your own lil website app!

Do you have or use any of these apps?

Thanks for reading,

love Lyd x
